The Tuscan Hideaway is nestled in the beautiful hills of Camaiore perfectly positioned fifteen minutes from the Lucca Walls and fifteen minutes to the Sea! In this serene setting you will enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains, olive orchard and an impressive expansive pool area.
The spectacular two-story 800 year old converted hayloft has more beautiful views from the bedroom’s Romeo and Juliet balcony where you will wake to the sounds of birds chirping, and the smells of lavender and rosemary. The cozy living room with high ceilings, books and a record player to spin a variety of vinyl will make coming home from an active day relaxing and replenishing. Cook in the quaint traditional Tuscan kitchen with a new dishwasher, small refrigerator, gas stove, electric oven, Smeg coffee maker, toaster and tea kettle, pots/pans as well as a variety of cooking spices/oils and coffee/teas. Tuscan lemon trees are potted in your exclusive backyard area where you can dine, relax with a book or get a little work done among the traveling rosemary while nestled among olive trees.
The grounds are dotted with over a hundred beautiful olives and various citrus trees. Come immerse yourself in this historic hamlet, which has a deep and rich history. Walk off the property and follow several historic hikes through the beautiful hills to views of the sea at a local restaurant where you can enjoy the sights with a refreshing drink and local delicacies.
The beautiful and quick four minute drive down the hill will bring you to a main connecting road which will take you on the beautiful and scenic route to visit the sweet town of Camaiore with fun restaurants, and shops in only ten minutes. Or continue ten more minutes and visit the gorgeous coastal beaches. Or if you turn left, in fifteen minutes you will arrive at the Lucca Walls.
Lucca is an incredibly beautiful, vibrant and the only fully intact walled city in Tuscany. Concerts, world class restaurants, endless shopping, and is the birthplace of Madam Butterfly’s composer, Giacomo Puccini. Its beauty and history are nothing short of amazing. You can explore it from the few remaining towers to the newly opened tunnel tours beneath the city, and everything in between.
